Educational and developmental Toys, Games, Art and Craft
At Growing Child we understand the importance of inspiring young minds.
Providing opportunities for children to explore, create, play and learn rests with parents, carers and teachers alike. That is why at Growing Child we make no distinction between educational professionals and parents or careers. Our extensive range of products are available at the same cost to all.
Some customers thought we were just a toy store until they walked through the door; from puzzles to science, music to mathematics and craft to construction, we have 1000’s of educational toys and resources guaranteed to entertain and challenge young minds. We are not a traditional toy shop.
Growing Child has an ever increasing range of Waldorf and Steiner inspired products and toys. Parents interested in Waldorf/Steiner education will find a visit to Growing Child rewarding.
Our showroom is located on the Mornington Peninsula, and is open to teachers and the public Monday to Friday from 10 am to 5pm.
There is always plenty of free parking right out front.
EFTPOS available with no minimum charge.

Mt Martha Preschool orders a large quantity of materials and equipment from “Growing Child” in Mornington. We take advantage of the helpful and knowledgeable service provided by Jamie and Sandy. They stock not only the expected resources but carry the new and unusual. The stock is constantly changing and they are always eager for suggestions and ideas. They are also happy to source individual pieces for customers. We confidently recommend “Growing Child” and suggest that parents drive the extra few minutes to their factory location to view the stock and speak with staff.”
Georgina McCallum(BEd Early Childhood/Primary, M.Ed. Early Childhood and Leadership) Director Mt Martha Preschool – June 2013
A visit to Growing Child is as exciting for adults as it is for kids in a toy shop. There is so much to see, and then you look again and see more. They stock all items that you expect from THRASS charts for home through to paper masks for art parties. Jamie and Sandy are happy to order items if they are not in stock. Don’t forget to check out their website to see all items. We love a visit to Growing Child where we can find fun games and items for our clinic, but also specialised items as well.”
