What’s on at Arthurs Seat Eagle, Mornington Peninsula

Summer & school holidays 2019/20

Take a big breath of fresh air and let the kids soar this summer at Arthurs Seat Eagle on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria, just a little over one hour’s drive from Melbourne.

The aerial gondola experience at The Eagle offers the best views of the region, the surrounding State Park, and across Port Phillip Bay to the city skyline.

For younger families, the platforms, gondolas, restroom facilities and parking are all pram friendly.

SOARING SANTA WEEKENDS – 14-15 & 21-22 December, 11 am to 3 pm

Start at the Arthurs Seat Eagle base station in Dromana and take a Christmas picture with a difference.

Santa has abandoned his sleigh to take to the skies in a different way – for the cameras at least.

Santa will be available at the Arthurs Seat Eagle green screen to take that memorable holiday shot with the family, which can be downloaded across multiple devices.

EXTENDED SUMMER HOURS – 26 December to 26 January 2020

Open from 9am daily

Early Bird flights from 9am are the perfect way to start a peninsula day this summer. Or if you’ve had a busy day and feel like floating into the evening, the gondolas will be soaring until 7pm Sunday to Friday and 8pm on Saturdays.

Plus, don’t miss the ‘giant seagull’ roving entertainers, who will amuse the crowds on Boxing Day (26 December).

POP UP PICNIC PACKAGES

Alternatively, take the picturesque walking tracks to Seawinds Gardens to view indigenous and exotic formal gardens, plus the William Ricketts sculpture collection.

Enjoy family-friendly facilities and make the day even more relaxing with a bespoke picnic package from Arthurs Seat Eagle (book in advance), including a basket, a selection of food, drinks, and a blanket.

Wedgie’s Eagle Eye

Board one of the immaculate, Swiss-made gondolas where the family can ascend to the summit. While enjoying the experience, the kids can participate in a next-level version of ‘I Spy’ with Wedgie’s ‘Eagle Eye’ hunt. A free map with checklist is available at the Eagle kiosk to encourage children to look for kangaroos, birds and even The You Yangs, among other sights.
