Australian Beach Games
The Australian Beach Games is a new and exciting festival of sports, music, food and fun and it is coming to Frankston waterfront on 26-28 January 2018 as part of Council’s Tourism Event Attraction Program.
Gather friends and family together for the Australia Day weekend to participate in or just watch 15-20 different sports played on and around the beach then settle in to enjoy a food truck festival and live music from some of Australian’s best musicians.
Play or enjoy watching beach games including:
- life saving
- touch football
- 3 x 3 basketball and more.

The Waterfront Festival
Frankston’s most anticipated free summer festival is back and set to be bigger and better than ever as it celebrates 19 years of beachside fun for the whole family.
The Waterfront Festival will move to the 10th and 11th of February to welcome the Queen’s Baton Relay on its journey through our beautiful bayside city in the lead up to the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games. This much-loved community event attracts residents and visitors to the sun-soaked beach at the Frankston Waterfront with 2 spectacular days of live music, beach and water sports, market stalls, delicious food, wine, cider and craft beer.
