Member Review – Heritage 3059, Balnarring

3059 Frankston-Flinders Rd, Balnarring

The heritage is set on 2 acres. It has a big sand pit for the kids and lots of grass to run and play games on. We took a football and cricket set and played all afternoon. They also have great tables and chairs out on the lawn areas all under cover from the elements. The kids just ran and ran and ran. There is an inside restaurant and a big outside deck which is very family friendly and often have bands playing.

The kids are all given drawing packs with activities and pencils. The kids’ menu was great and the food all round is fantastic. We go to the Heritage all the time and are yet to find anything else in the Peninsula that compares.

Atmosphere and Service

Service was great and very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is relaxed and very much a chilled out country tavern sort of feel. Adults get to relax and enjoy great food and drink while watching their children run and play on the huge grassed outdoor area.

The Food

Generous servings and well priced. Food was absolutely beautiful. Prices range from around $8 to $30. I would recommend the Heritage to everyone from singles and couples, to families and even mothers’ groups. Very enjoyble and relaxing environment.

What others had to say

My family and I love going to the Heritage because of how family friendly it is. There is only one entry/exit and the lawn area is massive so the kids can run around and you’re not constantly worrying about where they are. The staff provide colouring packs for the kids and they love to play on the lawn. We have eaten in the formal dining room and it was lovely. However, some of our favourite memories are lazy Sunday afternoons with friends, kicking back with good food to eat and listening to the live music. The only disappointing experience I have had at the Heritage was when they put a framed Collingwood Football Jumper on the wall!! PS – the $10 “tradies” lunches Mon-Fri represent great value (and sometimes it is a nice treat to have a quiet lunch while the kids are at school/kinder!).

The staff are very friendly and often try to make different vegetable side dishes to try to interest the kids. Like a vegie slice with the fish and chips. There is a pizza menu. The A La Carte menu is wonderful a bit pricey but worth it for the Duck and Pork Belly. The food was excellent. The children’s menu is great and fresh. A great place to either have a drink and just a pizza or something a bit more special. Yummy deserts also. There are many different dining areas including a big deck and beer garden which has a large lawn area and sandpit.
