It is easy to see why Frankston is emerging as one of Greater Melbourne’s must-see street art destinations. The city centre has been truly transformed into an eclectic mix of art, culture, retail and cuisine, and the creative energy in the city is gaining momentum.
For the past 5 years, Frankston has been host to the The Big Picture Fest, transforming the buildings and laneways into an epic display of colour, creativity and movement. The city is now home to more than 40 artworks from local and international artists.

If you haven’t discovered Frankston’s street art scene, a walking tour is the perfect way to start. Lead by local guides, the tours reveal the inside story on the artists’ ideas and inspirations for their artworks. Whether that be reflections on moments in history, childhood memories or messages for future generations. It’s a great way to experience this epic outdoor gallery.
The walking tours run for 90 minutes, are taken at a comfortable walking pace so children can enjoy it too. There is also a coffee & hot chocolate stop along the way. Tours run most weekends, both during the day and at twilight.
