Mount Martha School of Dance was established in 1988 at Mt Martha Community House.
Classical ballet and Modern Dance are part of the curriculum and available to both boys and girls for all levels, including VCE Dance all Units. We teach RAD Royal Academy of Dance Classical Ballet syllabus – which is Internationally recognised, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop and an extensive Acrobatic program.
The school is oriented towards the needs of all students, those who enjoy dance as a recreational interest and also for those with ambitions in the field of dance.
Our end of year concerts are held at Frankston Arts Centre. We also offer a mid year display (free admission) for Grade 3 – Senior Students held at Peninsula Community Theatre, Mornington.
Our main aim is to nurture a student’s love of dance and encourage all students to reach their potential.
At Mount Martha School of Dance:
- We aim to teach in a positive environment encouraging all students to achieve their best and enjoy their dancing.
- We have classes in Classical and Jazz styles for every age group. No mixed age classes.
- We do structure our classes and promote a cooperative learning environment. Students will learn a great deal in their first year.
- All class content is age appropriate. Both the Classical and Modern/Jazz curriculum is safe, progressive, technical and most of all, fun.
