Hastings Library hosts a range of special events and regular activities, including storytime sessions for babies and young children as well as internet and computer classes.

Born to Read (babies) – Tuesdays at 11am

Babies love it when you read to them – it’s a great way to have fun together. Enjoy 30 minutes of special rhymes, songs and book play with your baby. Encourage your child to develop a lifelong love of books and reading.

Born to Read sessions at Our Library:

• Strengthen the unique bond between you and your child.
• Stimulate imagination and feed curiosity.
• Develop your child’s concentration.
• Build their language and listening skills.

Tiny Tots (9m-3yrs) – Wednesdays 11am-11.30am

Join us for our weekly storytime sessions tailored for toddlers! Enjoy 30 minutes of fun songs, rhymes and stories. Encourage your child to develop a lifelong love of books and reading.

Preschool Storytime (3yrs-5yrs) – Thursdays 11am – 11.45am

Share the magic of stories with your child. For 3-5 year olds. Enjoy 45 minutes of fun stories, songs, rhymes and craft activities. Encourage your child to develop a lifelong love of books and reading.
