{Mum’s Word}
We recently visited the Red Rattler Train Cafe with our mothers’ group. Our party consisted of 9 toddlers aged 1 – 3 years. The kids were entertained for hours, which meant the mummies were able to catch up on some gossip too!Β The staff were nice enough to let us sit on the grass with a large table.
You can choose to dine in the old train with private cabins, or you can sit on the deck outside if the weather is nice (outside is better for small groups). A little cubby house with a slide is also on the adjoining grass outside, but there are of indoor toys available too.
Set in the beautiful surrounds of the Tyabb Craft Village there really is heaps to do. Watch the real trains go past (I know the boys love them) and visit a gorgeous fairy shop for the little princesses.
The cafe offers light food from sweet treats to sandwiches and chips, with a good range for adults and kids. Reasonable prices and friendly service are accompanied by fun surrounds and craft stalls to keep everyone happy. Don’t forget to visit the antique packing house also.
