Peninsula Health Community Dental Program has a child and youth dental program for 0-18 year olds. They also have services for those over 18 years. The services provided include:
- dental checkups and advice
- dental sealants to prevent tooth decay
- teeth cleaning
- fillings and extractions
- x-rays
- referrals to specialists
Who is eligible for public care?
Adults 18 years of age and older with a Health Care Card or Pension Concession Card
Youth aged 13 to 18 years of age with a Health Care Card or Pension Concession Card or Medicare Child Dental Benefits (All Medicare Child Dental Benefits are bulk billed)
All children up to 13 years of age
Children and young people are also considered as a priority group, so tell the receptionist when you call to make an appointment who it is for, and you may not need to go on a waiting list.
For those under 13 years who have a health care card or a pensioner concession card, this service is FREE.
For those under 13 years who do no have these cards, there will be a one off payment that will cover most treatment required.
Adults are charged a small fee per appointment.
