Creative Kids Early Learning Centre

Welcome to Creative Kids Early Learning Centre.

We are a small, 38 place, Early Learning Centre, with a 3 and 4 year old Government Funded Kindergarten. We are open from 630am – 6pm, providing families with both education and care across their child’s day.

We make and provide healthy food for children, as required throughout their day.

We have a strong and experience team of Educators. Most have been here a minimum of 3 years, some much longer, and they are all both passionate and excited about Early Learning.

We have huge outdoor spaces, and we love to be out in all kinds of weather. In addition, we have a strong Out and About Program; we garden with volunteers at the Community Garden, we visit our local Aged Care Home and participate in Intergenerational Music sessions, we take donations to the Community Centre, and we explore the Main Street Market. We love to go to the Library and the Park and our closest Primary School. We find walking and contributing to our neighbourhood is full of rich experiences and learning.

We are an educational institution, teaching essentials in children’s most formative years. We believe children learn best when they feel safe, heard, known, and valued. Well-being and learning are equally important, co-existing on the timeline of each individual child.

When researching and exploring, we look to those who have succeeded before us and gratefully acknowledge a blending of foundational philosophies that come from; Maria Montessori, Rudolf Steiner, Reggio Emilia, Emmi Pikler, and the New Zealand framework: Te Whāriki.

In every moment, we recognise children as intuitive, capable, and with boundless capacity for extraordinary things.

Nursery

Our Nursery is an 11 place room, allowing for specific and individualised care for our youngest children. The children are encouraged to move between their free flowing indoor and outdoor spaces.

Pre-Kindergarten

We have up to 12 children within our Pre-Kindergarten room, where there is a strong focus on developing independence and responsibility, social skills and sparking each child’s curiosity.

Our Pre-Kindergarten room leads out into our large outdoor environment where children are engaged in open-ended experiences, allowing for gross-motor development, social interactions and risk taking.

3 and 4 year old Kindergarten

Our shared Kindergarten space supports our 3 and 4 year old Kindergarten children to continue their development of social and emotional skills, on their school readiness journey. Our Program follows the children’s interests, plans for specific learning outcomes, and supports all children with early Literacy, Numeracy, and Science focuses. We love learning languages other than English, to sharpen our developing cognitive skills and begin to understand the world around us – in recent times we have specialised in Japanese and Spanish.
