Help us celebrate Children’s Week at Hastings Library!
Musical Plants: 12.30pm – 4.30pm
Have you ever made music with a marigold? Composed with a chrysanthemum? Or listened to some lavender?
Connect with nature! Reach out and touch real plants to play these unique organic instruments.
The Plants are new experimental musical instruments that combine organic matter and bespoke digital sensors developed by Playable Streets.
Face Painting with Faery Emma: 12.30pm – 2.30pm
Let your children’s arms, faces and hands match their colourful imaginations. Faery Emma will be joining us at Somerville Library with her magical face painting kit.
Conceptual Playworlds with Playgroup Victoria: 1.30pm – 3pm
This is a wonderful opportunity to participate in a fun group activity and take-home new insights and resources for you to create your own conceptual PlayWorld at home! For children 3-5 years and their parent/carer, sessions will involve reading a book together, creating a Conceptual PlayWorld based on the book, and using STEM concepts in an activity.
