When should we start? What should we offer first? How much should a baby actually eat? And where does breastfeeding fit once solids begin?
Join us for a relaxed discussion about introducing family foods at around 6 months. We’ll look at the developmental signs that show your baby is ready, why iron-rich foods become important, introducing different tastes and textures, and allowing babies to develop eating skills at their own pace.
We’ll also talk about the changing balance between breastmilk and solid foods. Breastmilk remains an important part of your baby’s diet throughout the first year and beyond, while complementary foods gradually provide increasing amounts of nutrients such as iron and zinc.
Bring your questions — and your experiences if you’ve already started the wonderfully messy adventure of family foods!
