When I first mentioned the idea of empty paper rolls crafts to the kids they were pretty excited. Suddenly, the bathroom usage in our house sky-rocketed and the munchkins became very enthused about cleaning the windows. Because of this new enthusiasm our stock pile of cardboard rolls built up quickly. Maybe don’t mention it in advance, but start to keep a stash of the empty rolls! It only takes a few to make a really cool castle.

- empty toilet paper/paper towel rolls
- hot glue gun to stick painted rolls and roofs together
- paint
- glitter/stickers/gems
- scissors
