Create a thoughtful gift and add a touch of nature to your home with these fun peg pot plants. Using only a few household items, these pots can house tasty herbs for cooking or colourful flowers that will brighten any room.
Tools:
- Scissors
- Marker pen
- Gardening gloves
Materials:
- Yoghurt container
- Wood or coloured plastic pegs
- Coloured paper
- Pot plant
Steps:
Step 1: Prep your container
Wash and dry your yogurt container thoroughly. Then poke a hole in the container, about one third of the way up from the bottom, using a sharp pair of scissors.
Step 2: Create the pot
Using the hole as a guide, simply cut the bottom section of the container off with your scissors. Be sure to take care as the container may have sharp edges!
Step 3: Decorate the pot
Now simply attach your pegs around the rim of your container. Customise your pot plant with pegs such as colourful plastic pegs or wooden pegs.
Tip: Personalise your pegs by decorating them with paint, glitter or diamantes.
Step 4: Add a personal touch
Add a personal touch to your pot by cutting some fun shapes out of cardboard and inserting them between the pegs as decoration. Make your pot extra special by writing little notes on the cardboard cut-outs.
Step 5: Pop in your plant
Finally, pop on your garden gloves and add a plant of your choice to your pot. Simply remove the plant from its pot and place it carefully into your new peg pot.
