The Royal Australian Navy Band Melbourne at HMAS Cerberus, Victoria. *** Local Caption *** The Royal Australian Navy Band Melbourne has conducted its annual promotional shoot for 2025. There are six RAN Bands around Australia, with full-time bands in Sydney and Melbourne, and reserve (part- time) bands in Adelaide, Hobart, Perth and Brisbane. The history of the Royal Australian Navy Band is rich and long-lasting, and the organisation continues to play an invaluable role in keeping Navy’s image in the public consciousness ashore and at sea, maintaining one of ADF’s most consistent and significant public engagement profiles. Custodians of naval tradition and ceremony, cultural ambassadors, and drivers of an evolving Australian Navy, RAN Musicians promote awareness in the Australian and international communities of Navy’s critical contribution to the nation. The RAN Band reflects the quality of Navy’s people and the values for which we all aspire - Service, Courage, Respect, Integrity and Excellence

Join us for our flagship concert series, Soundwaves, at HMAS Cerberus and experience the RAN Band bringing our full wind band and variety of chamber ensembles to the Mornington Peninsula community.

 

Brought to you by the RAN Band Melbourne under the direction of Lieutenant Commander Nathanael Maxwell and Lieutenant Matthew Booth, this concert series promotes a wide variety of accessible and engaging wind ensemble and chamber music. Our October concert in particular will transport you back into the movies, with its cinematic theme.

 

Admission is free, however booking is required. Tickets will become available 4 weeks before the event on the Trybooking platform.

 

Matinee performance: 14:00 (Gates open at 12:30)

Evening performance: 19:00 (Gates open at 17:30)

 

Please ensure you have photo ID for entry to HMAS Cerberus. Enter via the West Gate (main gate) of HMAS Cerberus.
